On 21 October 2022, Banca d’Italia and Consob, as the designated authorities for the authorisation and supervision of crowdfunding service providers following the adoption of Regulation (EU) 2020/1503, issued a joint communication informing operators interested in providing crowdfunding services – at a national, even before an EU level – as of 10 November 2023 of the possibility of holding informal discussions with these Authorities in order to receive informal guidance on the matter.
